Shares in unlisted companies work differently
Auxesis Pharma is not listed on a stock exchange. This means that its shares are not traded daily on a public marketplace in the same way as listed shares.
As a result, a bank’s online interface may show limited information or a value of 0, even when the shares are correctly registered.
Shares are registered through Euroclear
Shares in Auxesis Pharma are registered through Euroclear Sweden, the central system for registering share ownership in Sweden.
The important part is the number of shares and the registered ownership, not how a bank temporarily displays the value in its app or online banking interface.
Why can the value appear as 0?
Unlisted shares do not have a daily stock market price. Because of this, a bank may not have a current market valuation and may display the value as 0.
This does not mean that the shares are missing or that the investment is invalid. It only means that the bank does not have a daily market price to display.
Share issues follow a Swedish registration process
Share issues in Swedish limited companies are handled under the Swedish Companies Act and registered with the Swedish Companies Registration Office.
Once the share issue has been registered and shares have been allotted, ownership is registered according to the applicable procedures.
Common misunderstandings
Investors who are unfamiliar with unlisted shares may become uncertain when the shares are not displayed in the same way as listed holdings.
For questions, it is always best to contact the company or the bank to confirm where the shares are shown and how the account is connected.
