Dermatology
A new complementary business area

A new business area based on the same ASA.P platform has been established: Dermatology.
We are a pharmaceutical company specialising in skincare and development and have now built substantial experience and expertise within dermatology. Dermatology enables us to develop several product categories aimed at aesthetic treatments, and we have therefore established it as a separate business area. The same IP and platform are used across several medical applications.
Initially, we are developing a so-called cosmeceutical, a skincare formulation aimed at private aesthetic clinics with the purpose of protecting and improving skin quality while also reducing pain.
The product is also designed for use in combination with minimally invasive aesthetic treatments. To strengthen our new Dermatology business area, we have appointed dermatologist Dr. Anne Wetter, founder of Diagnostiskt Centrum Hud, who has more than 20 years of clinical experience in both skin diseases and aesthetic treatments.
Our already patented ASA.P platform, which will be in clinical development during the autumn, forms the basis of an innovative cosmeceutical product portfolio for medical skincare.
For a company such as Auxesis Pharma, which develops pharmaceuticals for pain and irritation in the skin, her expertise is highly valuable and includes:
Identify commercially attractive indications.
With experience in both medical and aesthetic dermatology, she can support Auxesis Pharma in selecting skin conditions where a cosmeceutical product can provide genuine value, for example following aesthetic treatments or in cases of irritated skin, redness or age-related skin changes.
Develop products for aesthetic clinics.
Through her work with laser treatments, injections and skin surgery, she understands which products are in demand before and after treatment to reduce discomfort, redness and recovery time.
Ensure medical credibility.
Within cosmeceuticals, it is a competitive advantage for products to be recommended by dermatologists and based on clinical knowledge rather than marketing alone.
Positioning towards professional users.
A product established among dermatologists and aesthetic clinics can later be expanded to pharmacies and the consumer market. Her experience provides valuable market understanding and can help attract investors.
The Board has also been strengthened by Anna Tenstam, who has extensive international experience in dermatology and aesthetic medicine, including from Q-Med, now part of Galderma. Anna has led companies within these fields in the United States, Israel, the United Kingdom and several other countries, through to exit.
Together with Professor and physician Folke Sjöberg, Auxesis Pharma now has two complementary medical profiles. For a company whose pipeline includes products within skin pain, irritation and dermatological applications, the combination of an experienced clinical researcher and an active specialist physician in dermatology is strategically valuable — for product development, for how products are used in daily clinical practice and for the continued path towards clinical studies and commercialisation.
The next shareholder letter will be published at the beginning of the autumn and will contain more details about the Dermatology strategy, as well as updates on ASA.P and the development of other products.
The autumn will be an intensive and important period for Auxesis Pharma, and we look forward to keeping you updated on our continued development.
Kind regards,
Peter Åberg
